School Office Closes for the Summer

Be sure to check the monthly calendar for important dates ahead!
And other important news...

The school office is closing early this summer due to construction. The last day will be Friday, June 13. We are hoping to open the NEW office on Tuesday, September 2nd. You may call the school number and leave a message as they will be checked periodically. We'll do our best to keep you updated on the construction schedule. Thank you for your patience during this time of change and renewal.

Attention, Drivers!
Parents who are planning of driving St. Michael students on field trips, to sporting events, etc. need to complete and return a Field Trip Driver Information Sheet.
Contact the school office for the appropriate form.

Just a Reminder
Students, except those on patrol or at school for a specific before-school purpose, are to arrive at school no earlier than 7:45 AM. This is for their safety. No outside supervision is provided prior to 7:45 AM.

Weather/Emergency Closures
St. Michael will follow the lead of the Olympia School District in the event of snow, inclement weather, or other such emergency situations. If in doubt, check the announcements from KOMO, KING, or KIRO television,
or the school web site home page.

Returning to School After Illness
A child should not come to school during or after an illness if he/she is running a fever, has a constant, continuous cough, and/or runny nose, has vomited or had diarrhea with the past 24 hours, or has not seen a doctor for "obvious" contagious symptoms. A child should not return until his/her temperature has been normal for at least 24 hours.
In addition, a child should not return to school after an illness unless he/she is well enough to go outside at recess time. The school does not have adequate personnel to supervise children indoors.
