The School Commission
advises and supports the principal and pastor in the formation of school policy
and the ongoing development of St. Michael School. As a consultative
body, its members act in collaboration with the administrative team.
The commission
consists of nine (9) members; the pastor, principal, pastoral council
liaison, parish finance liaison, and PTSA members are ex-officio members.
Membership on the school commission is by application, recommendation,
and final approval by the pastor.
The commission
meets monthly; its agenda and record of business are available in the
school office.
Three committees
serve the school commission, providing research and needed input. The
committees are Finance, Communications, and Stewardship. The committee
chair is generally a member of the school commission. Any school parent
or parishioner may serve on any of these committees.
