Admissions Process
​
Thank you for your interest in St. Michael Parish School! All applicants must complete an application form and fee (submitted through our Finalsite parent portal), along with the documents required below. Teacher recommendations and school records will be requested by parents through the online application. Please note that immunization records are not submitted as part of the application process, but are required during enrollment from students who are accepted for admission. We require all students to be current on all state-required immunizations. As directed by the Archdiocese of Seattle, we are only able to accept medical exemptions for immunizations. Personal and religious exemptions are not accepted. A student must be five years old for kindergarten and four years old for Pre-K by August 31 immediately preceding the school year for which the student seeks to enroll. There are no exceptions made to this requirement.

Applications for new students open on February 1, 2026
Spots are held for current students until the re-enrollment period ends on March 15, 2026.
After March 15, we will begin offering admission to new students with completed applications.
Steps in the Application Process
STEP ONE: Complete application on Finalsite (with the $50 non-refundable fee)

STEP TWO: Upload required documents.​

Copy of Birth Certificate

Copy of Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)

Teacher Recommendation from current teacher (for grades 1-8 - emailed via online application checklist)

Copy of Report Card for current school year and two prior school years (for grades 1-8)
Once step one and two are complete, the school office will reach out to families to schedule an interview, which includes a short student assessment.
Admissions Decisions & Notifications
Students are admitted as space allows.
Acceptance is offered on a rolling basis until classes are full.
Admission notifications will be sent by March 31.
If a class is full, the student will be placed on the waitlist and families will be notified if space becomes available.
Order of Acceptance Priority
Within class size guidelines, acceptance is determined in the following order:

Children of Partners in the Mission of St. Michael Parish (active St. Michael parishioners) with siblings currently enrolled.

Children of other Partners in the Mission of St. Michael Parish (active parishioners) new to the school.

Catholic children with siblings currently enrolled who are members of another parish.

Catholic children new to the school who are members of another parish.

Non-Catholic children with siblings currently enrolled.

Non-Catholic children new to the school.
Finalizing Enrollment After Acceptance
Once accepted, families will receive an Offer of Admission.
To confirm your child’s enrollment a $200 (non-refundable) registration fee will be due at the time of acceptance.​​​​​​​​​​
