Uniform Policy
SMPS maintains a strong tradition of school uniforms that reflect school pride, modesty, and appropriate regard for personal appearance. Every student is expected to be in uniform every day. Failure to cooperate with the uniform policy will result in uniform infractions. Current trends and fads will be addressed as they arise. Should changes be made, students and families will be informed. The goal is to maintain an atmosphere that reflects Catholic values and is conducive to academic pursuits.
All St. Michael Parish School students (Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade) are required to wear our school uniforms.
New Uniforms for the 2024-2025 School Year
New uniforms may be purchased online through our new uniform provider.
A percentage of all purchases made through School Uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger will be returned to the school, directly benefiting our PTSA initiatives.

We are now offering the option to add our school logo to most tops, enhancing our school identity and spirit. Students may wear white or navy polo shirts, providing more flexibility while maintaining a cohesive look. For PK-5, we have introduced new sweater, fleece, and sweatshirt options in hunter green, and for grades 6-8, these will be in navy. The school logo is required on fleece and sweatshirts, replacing items previously purchased directly from the school office.
Middle School:

PE uniforms will be required and must be purchased from School Uniforms by T.H., ensuring quality and uniformity.

Middle school skirts must also be purchased from School Uniforms by T.H., offering improved style and durability.

If I order something now, can my student wear it this year?
Yes!
Do we have to buy every item from School Uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger?
No, items that must be purchased from School Uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger is clearly identified on the 24-25 SMPS Uniform Policy.
Will the office still stock spirit wear items?
No. Once our inventory is gone, all items will be purchased from School Uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger.
What shoes can my student wear?
Black, white, brown, navy (neutral colors - no neon). Athletic/tennis shoes preferred. (Must have athletic/tennis shoes for PE days). Heels <1”, non-skid, sturdy, fully-enclosed. No sandals, slip-ons or slippery-soled party shoes. No flip flops. No crocs. No boots. No platforms. Rain/snow boots may be worn to school and at recess ONLY.
Are the new uniform policies going to be enforced now?
No, the 24-25 Uniform Policy starts next year.
If my student has a uniform sweatshirt that still fits next year, can it be worn?
Yes. The current sweatshirts can be worn next year. This does not apply to middle school skirts.
